Founder & CEO

Ari Goren

Ari began making films at eight years old, after entering and winning a film festival at his summer camp. Since then he has written, directed and produced short films exploring grief, memory, extreme realism and deep emotional connection.

In August 2026, Ari launched Frame Theory Pictures, a production company led by young filmmakers, with his debut project, SUNKEN, marking the start of the journey.

He is focused on intimate, character-driven stories that feel true to life, and on building a team of filmmakers who are ready to be seen.

Co-CEO

Sam Affleck

Sam Affleck, who goes by Samuel Abraham online, is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Frame Theory Pictures. He began making films at 10. Since then, Sam has written, directed, and/or produced documentaries, short films, as well as various photography and videography jobs.

In August 2026, Sam joined Ari Goren to launch Frame Theory Pictures, a production company led by young filmmakers. His directorial work on SUNKEN helped set the foundation for the company.

Sam is focused on stories people can escape into and on building a team of filmmakers who are ready to be seen.

Chief Operating Officer

Flynn Schackne

Flynn Schackne is the Chief Operating Officer of Frame Theory Pictures. His passion for filmmaking began at age 11, when his father introduced him to what he called “the big ones.” Among the first was Chinatown, which remains Flynn’s favorite film to this day. Since then, Flynn has written, shot, produced, and directed numerous short films, along with two feature-length screenplays exploring loss, comedy, mystery, and meaning.

In August 2026, Flynn joined Ari Goren in founding Frame Theory Pictures, a production company led by young filmmakers. His work on SUNKEN helped lay the foundation for the company’s first chapter.

Drawn to the power of visual storytelling, Flynn is dedicated to building a team of filmmakers whose voices deserve to be heard.

Frame Theory Pictures is a youth-founded, youth-led production company based in the United States. Built on the art of cinema and the discipline of framing an idea before it ever reaches the screen, we develop and produce scripted and unscripted film.

Founded in August 2026 by Ari Goren, Frame Theory Pictures develops and produces both scripted and unscripted work, with a primary focus on scripted film. Our debut project, SUNKEN, launched the company and marked the start of our filmmaking journey.

We believe every great story begins with a single, deliberate frame: a choice about what to show, what to leave out, and why. Our team is made up of emerging filmmakers, and that fresh perspective is what sets us apart. We are open to working and partnering with studios, artists and brands looking for committed new voices behind the camera.
